Royal & The Serpent

Los Angeles based singer/songwriter “Royal & the Serpent” is pure thrill and worthy of addiction. With boundary pushing lyrics and palpable energy, she has an onstage spirit that has fans referring to her as “Lady Cobain”. The duality she expresses makes her both relatable and captivating, as she unapologetically shares a full spectrum of experience - from royal soul to luring serpent. Bold and sexy, Royal delivers the perfect combination of funk and grace in a sweet sound rich with hypnotic melodies. Categorized as "Indie-Blues/Electro-Pop," Royal & the Serpent's music radiates influence from some of her favorite female vocalists - Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks, Zella Day, & Lauren Ruth Ward. Magnetic, unpredictable, and totally unhinged - let Royal draw you in to an atmosphere of lust and tension, and electrify you with her fiery spirit.

Life is exhilarating and heartbreaking and ridiculous. Might as well make the most of it as you burn it all down. Oh, and definitely love yourself. These are themes in Flavia’s lyrics. There is a tangible strength in her music, an unapologetic curiosity about life, love and sexuality. Layered over fluid and powerful beats that make you dance hips first. Eyes closed, middle finger up, smile on your face. An electronic singer-songwriter, and producer who’s lived in Ireland, Italy, and just about every corner of the US before landing in LA. Her live show is a sonic and visual experience with colourful light and projection displays. This year she performed at SXSW in Austin, various festivals on the West coast and released her debut single, Hateful, which hit over 130K streams independently.

Novele is the brainchild of Southern California singer/songwriter/producer Austin Fitzpatrick who recently released a debut demo album 10 years in the making. From an early age, Austin was surrounded by music. His uncle, John Cale, is a founding member of Velvet Underground and his father was a prominent DJ raising him on soul, R&B and Hip-Hop music. In his early teens, he become engulfed in the alternative rock scene and found himself following bands like Bloc Party and Gorillaz closely. This array of influences is apparent in the Novele project, which fuses punk, hip-hop and pop to form a truly alternative style. The songs and lyrics pull from Austin's personal experiences and struggles with mental health and overcoming depression which encompasses the deep emotion and raw passion that fuel the music.
