Ned and the Dirt
Ned and the Dirt
Los Angeles based Indie Rock band Ned and the Dirt is a band that you soak up. They don't wash over you, they happen to you. Listen to them; you'll want to dance, you'll want to cry, you'll want to start feeling everything more profoundly, and it's this warp speed through emotions that makes Ned and the Dirt special - it's the human experience. Ned's roots can be found in his preacher's tongue and garage-party swagger, but it's the Dirt's grit that gives their music a grip on your ears. Their live performances drip with honesty (and sweat) so go get up close if you're ready to feel, but don't worry, you won't be alone. You'll be flying through with everyone else.
Blood Candy
Blood Candy
Founded by singer Tara Jane, Los Angeles femme-fronted Blood Candy incorporates dreamy sanguine vocals over noisy reverb-drenched guitars with tempo changes and haunting melodies that form a wall of sound a la Black Tambourine, The Jesus and Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine.

Their album entitled, "Dead Moon" was released by Buddyhead Records in August of 2015. The Deli Mag, called it a "blend of fuzz and reverb that mingles like lovers' sweat and cigarette smoke —" They have worked with producer Joe Cardamone of the Icarus Line, graced LA's Part Time Punks and were named one of the, "13 Los Angeles Artists and Bands to Watch" by Grimy Goods. Their modern take on 90's shoegaze is best described as a soundtrack for heartbroken slow dancing and drug-fueled make out sessions.
The Knitts
The Knitts
The iconic San Fernando Valley, birthplace of many of LA’s music legends, is also home to The Knitts, a band with a surprisingly long history and a short fuse, have exploded onto the music scene. Since releasing their first Full Length album "Retreat" on Knitting Factory Records, The Knitts have managed to make a name for themselves by performing with highly acclaimed acts such as Primus, Fitz & the Tantrums, Bullets and Octane and Built To Spill.

Growing up in a town with such legendary music history, The Knitts have worked hard playing their unique sound and singing their gritty lyrics at such iconic rock venues as The Wisky A Go-Go, the Viper Room, and the Roxy among other big name festivals.

The five-piece garage-rock, post-punk band is made up of two brothers—Justin (Vocals), Charlie (guitar)—plus Victor Portillo (Lead Guitar), Jaime “Jimmy” Luque (Bass) and Alex Oliver (Drums) make up the Knitts, a band who’s sounds are “brash, West Coast take on the guitar-driven yet danceable rock of second-wave Brit-pop bands like The Libertines and Franz Ferdinand.” -LA WEEKLY
