Laciste is a duo from Los Angeles. Their sound combines electronic dance, ethereal vocals, and R&B music.
Zane Guindon is originally from McKinney, TX and has lived in Los Angeles for 10 years. Zane does everything from songwriting, producing, recording and mixing. Throughout the years, he has opened up for Warren G, Cam’ron, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Slum Village to name a few.
Singer Pauline Laciste studied classical piano and fell in love with electronic music composition as a student at NYU. The California native has written music ranging from classical chamber pieces to electronic sound collages and scores for short films. She has opened for Laetitia Sadier of Stereolab and has played in Echo Park's Culture Collide.
Laciste formed in 2015 after Pauline released her first solo Ep called, “Ritual Fade”. They started out playing in a four piece jazz/funk/soul band but soon ventured on their own to create a new style of electronic dance that drew from the soul, jazz, hip hop, R&B, classical and rock they grew up on. Laciste has played in various venues in Los Angeles including The Hi-Hat, Taix, and Bar Lubitsch.
Their self-titled debut album, Laciste is out now and available on iTunes and Bandcamp.
