Travis Peery
Travis Peery
Originally from the San Francisco bay area, Travis Peery moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and began putting together a band to add some Americana Rock horsepower to his songwriting. With comparisons to artists such as Ryan Adams and Dawes, The Travis Peery Band (Matt Paris (drums), Francis Breidenbach (bass), and Zach Stanford/Brady Leffler (keyboards)), has been playing shows at some of the most well-respected music clubs in Los Angeles and is currently promoting Travis’s 2016 album, "These Nights," available online through iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.
Cody & The Blackouts
Cody & The Blackouts
After playing together off and on in support of LA singer-songwriter Cody Hudock’s 2015 folk-rolk LP, Cody, drummer Brent Stranathan, bassist Will Weissman, guitarist Jordan Bennett, and vocalist Joanna Hudock joined forces as Cody & The Blackouts to create and record a new LP with producer Ethan Kaufmann due for release in early 2018. The melding of their collective talents pushed the sound of the music far from the folk-rock underpinnings it had sprung from, and added a grit and character that calls to mind artists such as Spoon, Ben Folds Five, Father John Misty, and Tom Petty.
Jacob and Fanny
Jacob and Fanny met for the first time at a cafe in Los Angeles. Fast forward two years: same cafe, same table--Jacob's proposing to Fanny singing "Green Eyes" by Coldplay with a few dozen onlookers filming on their phones. The duo’s romance and music grew in tandem. Their acoustic demos found their way into the hands of LA Reid, who quickly signed them to Epic Records. But as is the tale of countless artists signed to major labels, their album never saw the light of day. “That album was our first born,” recalls Fanny. “To know no one would get to hear it was devastating.” But as the saying goes, what ultimately didn't kill Jacob and Fanny made them stronger. They teamed up with producer John Cunningham to make their best music yet. The couple, now married, see the parallels between their career and their relationship: "Love takes patience and a lot of work. But when you have something special, it's so damn worth it." Their debut EP is slated for release in 2018.
