Send Medicine
Send Medicine
SEND MEDICINE began as the solo project for Toronto based singer/songwriter Julian Hacquebard in the summer of 2012. Julian then moved to Los Angeles, shaping a sound that LA Record called "a heady mix of psych, blues, folk and surf - a winning combination". Since, the band has expanded to a full lineup, with a live show featuring percussion, backing vocals, and theremin.

SEND MEDICINE has performed at Echo Park Rising, Summer Sweat 2015, The Satellite, The Bootleg Theater, and at Jam in the Van at Green in Pasadena. The band has been featured on Indie FM’s Buzzbands, The Deli’s Band of the Month, Hype Machine, Live on KSPC 88.7, KBeach Radio, and more.

In 2016, the band released their debut album “Scary Aquarius Daughter”, featuring lead single “July Eyes” and follow-up “Tall Flowers”. The album was performed by Salvatore Romano (Drums), Ryan Glennan (Percussion), Lauren Grimaldi (Percussion), Aaron Stern (Bass), and Connor Hill (Guitar).
With loads of enthusiasm and a life-long raw passion for music, Cannons, a new indie-electro band, found one another in 2013 in Los Angeles, CA. Wasting little time, lead singer Michelle Joy, Lead Guitarist Ryan Clapham, and Paul Davis on drums and keys, created their own unique sound that naturally formed while fans quickly filled in the big genre question mark with more refined names like "nudisco", "future boogie", and "chill-wave/indie pop". Cannons artfully melds organic and electronic sounds with an influential background based on 80's synth, 70's R&B/soul, current deep house music and electronic production. Cannons has been taking on fans of all ages from all over the world in such a short amount of time with their truly unique and impossible to pinpoint with just one word sound. Cannons has one mission! To keep you dancing all night long!
The May Company
The May Company's world sounds a little like that abstract French film you saw once in college. You know there is a theme buried somewhere just out of grasp, and yet the bizarre imagery and odd characters leave you feeling a bit confused, a bit cultured, perhaps a bit enlightened, but always comfortable descending into the dizzying spin of madness.

The May Company allude to these concepts, cryptically hinting at various disasters, deaths, bastard siblings, homeless trials, and somewhat bizarre worlds of self-exploration. However, it’s the psychedelic arrangements, strung out with whirling synths and fuzzy buzzing chaos, tinted with slight hues of surf and deep shades of noise-punk that get you spinning; May’s ‘Thee Oh Sees’-like soars and Grace-Slick-like barbaric yawps swallow you whole and send you spiraling down the edges of Federico Fellini’s forgotten side reels, spitting you out right into someone’s punky basement.

These songs instantly warp you to a time and place where no corner of geography goes unpainted. Whether you’re charting listlessly through the Syrian Desert, or stumbling wrecklessly through a 60′s spy flick, when you listen to The May Company; you imagine a greyscale world where plotlines are meaningless and sunglasses still look cool.

The May Company (previously May McDonough & Company) just released their full length album ‘bullyboywithaglasseye’. You can find it in digital stores (under the name May McDonough & Company) like iTunes and Amazon or buy the cd on their website. Please sign the mailing list below!

Sounds like: “Thee Oh Sees-meets-La Femme- meets- Nancy Sinatra”
OK Mayday
OK Mayday defines the word “band” as “a group of instrumentalists playing music of a specialized type”, and contemporary musical paramount’s David and Kelly Bellman, Stephen Lee and Matthew Osborn, collectively known as OK MAYDAY, indeed specialize in a nouveau alternative and pop sound that is sure to grandfather the 4-year-old group into greatness with the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Coldplay.

To fully understand the capacious musical ability of the Virginia based quartet, their
varied upbringings and influences must be explored. From playing orchestral interludes at fiveyears-old and scoring films and traveling with metal bands as teenagers to being a guitar strumming preacher’s kid, the members of OK MAYDAY have always been inclined to share their passion for music and melodic prose for as long as they can remember. Lead vocalist and keys player David says, “As my family grew in size and became multi-racial, a lot of us were musical so we would perform any and everywhere.”

Sharing mostly the same sentiment, a creative trip through the Sahara Desert two years ago induced a moment that the band will forever credit for helping to shape their musical style, swagger and sensibility. “We were drained and wanting more out of our lives. We fasted from food the whole trip and by the 11th day we all kept having the same dream during the night. It was quite a mystical experience that was extremely difficult to put into words. Ever since then, we've intentionally focused on those images and sounds we all heard during those night visions,” Stephen recounts and continues. “Every creative moment we've shared since then has been us trying to sonically recreate that divine adventure.” And that attempt has now led them to signing with celebrated music producer Harmony Samuels, the genius behind hits from Maroon 5, Chris Brown and Fifth Harmony, and his BOE Global production company. Kelly offers, “We've had the opportunity to work with some incredible producers over the years, but this was the first time that we knew someone really "got" us in every way - from seeing the overall vision, to hearing the melodies and understanding the depth of where our records would come from. Harmony got it and that’s rare with producers today.”

OK MAYDAY is currently working on their premiere EP that is sure to be the perfect
amalgam of beat driven syncopation, heavy keys and synths, memorable melodies, soaring and intimate guitars and personable lyrics. Matt states, “The accumulation of highs and lows throughout several years has blossomed and evolved into a sound specific to us that we can’t wait for the world to hear.” With a goal to create something bigger than them, the band is flying high and prepared to follow Harmony Samuel’s lead and take their rightful place in megastardom without ever looking down. Get it? OK!
