The Beta Machine
The Beta Machine
The Beta Machine evolved from the hearts and brains of Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl while on touring breaks
over the past few years. Friedl and McJunkins who currently play in A Perfect Circle, Eagles of Death Metal, PUSCIFER, DEVO, (and who also played in other bands such as 30 Seconds to Mars, Filter and Ashes Divide), have positioned 2017 as their official break-out year. Friedl and McJunkins are currently finishing up their debut EP "All This Time," slated to drop in January 2017.

* Matt McJunkins (Vocals/Bass) and Jeff Friedl (Drums/Percussion) as The Beta Machine, are supported live by the genius and unique craftsmanship of Claire Acey (Vocals), Tommy Dill (Guitar/Keys), and Nicholas Perez (Guitars/Keys).
Brandon Zano’s career in music involves all facets: writing lyrics and music; playing guitar, bass and drums; singing; recording and producing. His current project, and the culmination of his years of experience in the music industry, is his first solo album.

Having lived all over the United States, it was in Cleveland, Ohio that Brandon’s life as a musician began. In the late ‘90s he started off playing bass in a local hard-rock act, Tender Blind Spot, and toured for weeks in the U.S. This was enough to spark a permanent obsession with music. Over the years his bands have included: Leo, as lead guitarist – which landed a development deal with Island Records; Dozen Dead Roses, as lead vocals and guitar - the band drew label interest but dissolved before getting a deal; This is a Shakedown!, as lead vocals and guitar – a part-dance, part-rock project that signed to Reversed Image Unlimited within months, recorded with the multi-platinum award winning producer, Michael Seifert, and mixed by the legendary Sean Beavan (Guns N' Roses, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails); Ohio City Dead Birds, as drummer – a live-DJ/drummer project that included choreographed digital projections set to grinding dance beats; Stereo Workers Union, as drummer - which is signed to The Committee to Keep Music Evil (Brian Jonestown Massacre); and finally forming Ragers, as lead vocals and guitar – currently wrapping up a full-length album that Zano recorded and produced. Between all of this, Brandon scored and played all the instruments for 2 video game trailers (Kill Many Robots), played the lead singer in a commercial for another video game (Jam Party), was lead role and soundtrack contributor for the movie Long Way to Oblivion, and had a song placement in the movie I Smile Back (starring Sarah Silverman). He also played rhythm guitar with Downplay (Epic Records), including extensively touring with Puddle of Mudd and Sevendust; formed a band, as lead singer, with members of Mudvayne and Filter – although it never came to fruition; and recently played in SomeKindaWonderful (Downtown/Capitol Records) for a stint of bookings in California.

Brandon’s current project is his debut solo album, which will be complete in mid-2015 and was co-produced by Ben Schigel (SomeKindaWonderful, Drowning Pool, Chimaira, Breaking Benjamin). This album is the culmination of his years of experience in the music industry and is a beat-driven mix of rock, electronic and pop. He continues to play with Ragers and Stereo Workers Union, and records and produces for various artists in his studio - most notably Jesse Smith of Zao and Jesse Smith and the Holy Ghost (full-length album in 2015).
Convey is a rock band born in Boston and based out of Los Angeles. Convey traffics in a breed of modern rock that knows its roots while flaunting its red-blooded realism in the 21st century. Vocalist Ben Cohen never fails to summon the neck hairs to attention with lyrics that can at once speak to personal tales of fear, addiction, and love or scream at social corruption and injustice. Jahan’s guitar lines threaten to snap from sultry to brazen and brutal at the crack of snare from Cory or the low-end power of Luke.

Having self-released they’re eponymous EP in the fall of 2016, the boys have been incubating ideas, fleshing them out, and not settling until the grooves cut as deep as the vocals do soar. Decades of digesting the legendary likes Led Zeppelin and Tool, then grafting them to a living love of Queens of the Stone Age and Circa Survive has yielded their new LP. Soon to be unleashed this fall, it will surely remind you just how rock should feel.
