Livingmore
Livingmore
Los Angeles band, Livingmore are ready to emerge from their cocoon with their debut record, Ok To Land. The band, originated with songwriters Alex Moore and Spencer Livingston meeting thru mutual friends in 2014, they with the help of Mike Schadel on drums and now Rodrigo Moreno on bass are the make-up of Livingmore. Taking cues from several genres from acts such as Garbage and The Kinks to Belle and Sebastian, Moore and Livingston write dreamy, alternative songs that sound like, in their own words - “a mixture of Blondie and The Everly Brothers. From the childlike essence of trying to decide what to do when you grow up in ‘Cocoon,’ to the upbeat and straightforward ‘Never Slow Down,’ to the Melancholic and dreamy ‘Transition,’ Livingmore’s first full length record is a lush collection of indie rock tracks.Their first single from their new record, “Cocoon,” is a whimsical, guitar heavy track, with flourishes of western-tinged riffs that layer over Moore’s crooning vocal melodies. On the inspiration behind the track, Moore notes: "When writing this song I was looking back at childhood and remembering that ‘what will I be when I grow up’ feeling which from the younger perspective can feel like life is this story book type process of start to finish, in comparison to the reality and realization there's no ending to growth just recurring re births of trial and error that often lead you to the next place you need to be,” shares Moore. “Whether it's repeated mistakes or feeling stuck by life's circumstances there's always a faze of feeling cocooned until we evolve once again into butterflies.”The record’s anthemic title track, ‘Really Mean It’ is accompanied by an animated stop motion video created by Moore’s brother, Dillon. “We really just wanted to make a video that was totally organic and back to basics but at the same time unique and fresh. That’s kind of what this band is really about when you get down to it,” he explains.“We never really plan when we’re going to write, we just wait for it to happen,” Livingston notes, while explaining the band’s songwriting process. Each song has a totally organic approach - sometimes born from Livingston playing a melody and Moore composing accompanying lyrics on the spot; other times with both of them writing songs separately and meeting in the middle. Look out for Ok To Land, coming soon.
Bloody Death Skull
Bloody Death Skull
Despite the ominous name, Bloody Death Skull is fiendishly adorable. Swirling together electrified ukulele, childrens toys, sound effects, and unique instruments over the classic chord structures that launched early rock and soul, BDS makes fun music rooted in the 50s & 60s with a punk mentality, with surreal storytelling lyrics that (sweetly) break some taboos. Backed by a band that ranges from three to twelve members, Daiana Feuer sings about love, day dreams, the cosmos, animals, television, dead things, bad things, cute things, and being stuck in the mind of a teenager forever. Imagine The Shirelles meets Roky Erickson on a playground in outer space.
Sikemor
Sikemor
Sikemor is an indie band based out of Los Angeles that was formed in 2012 by siblings Rafael, Gabe and Fiona Cansino.

Strong roots in classical music and a folk sensibility influence Sikemor’s unique sound. Characterized by layers of dreamy harmonies, soaring melodies and expansive, rhythmic guitar lines, their music draws inspiration from Radiohead, Bon Iver and Local Natives.

Sikemor has played at venues in LA, such as Hotel Cafe, Silverlake Lounge, Villain’s Tavern and The Mint. Their debut EP, Paperweight, recorded at Grandmaster Recorders and produced by Mike Post, was released independently in June, 2016.

Currently working on new material with recent additions, David Leavitt (drums) and Ben Klein (bass), Sikemor looks forward to recording their first LP in 2017.
Haathi
Haathi
Having played drums for notable LA bands like Air Life, Alina Bea, and Steady Holiday (the latter of whom played Coachella in 2016), Brijesh Pandya steps out from behind the kit to front his new project, Haathi, which released its debut single, “Say Goodnight,” in October, 2016. Previously, Haathi released cover of the song “FRNDZ” by the Miracals, which was recorded for the New Professor Music label’s five-year anniversary compilation album. A rotating lineup of Pandya’s talented comrades from the LA music scene help to bring Haathi’s music to life onstage.
