Daniel James came of age in the UK, before being seduced by the bright lights of Los Angeles. In a way, this transition reflects the breadth of the producer's own work. Rooted in pop but eager to push elsewhere, his woozy, ethereal productions are continually tied to wisps of glorious melody. Using the T.O.L.D. alter ego, debut album 'It's Not About The Witches' is a mature, seductive work, one that pits hip-hop crunch against floral electronics. "Pop is a tool," he says. "It's a frame in which I can create, and I’ve found the frame keeps getting bigger." - Clash Music

“HOW IT SHOULD FEEL,” released February 1st, is the new single from LA based, Oakland born Ruby Red. Borrowing elements from synth pop, funk, and hip hop, the duo have come up with a sound that’s hard to pin down. The song itself blends themes of self reflection, indecision, and mortality, packaging them all together into a shiny, easy-to-swallow product. Ruby Red was formed in early 2018 by Daniel Laner and Fernando Fine, who first began collaborating musically in early elementary school. Since then, they have switched their focus from (poorly) covering Green Day songs to developing their own, unique sound intended to serve as a soundtrack for early adulthood. Their debut EP ”LOVELOCK” garnered moderate success with virtually no promotion, leading to a handful of shows at various venues at UCLA as well as the Silverlake Lounge. Looking forward, the band is looking to continue releasing singles that will ultimately culminate in a sophomore project, tentatively entitled “SUPER BLOOM”, to be released in the second half of 2019.

USE (Untitled Social Experiment) had the following to say when asked for a bio : "Everything makes too much sense, we don't think it's real so we're testing it out to make sure we're not in the middle of a giant coma" On July 7th, they released their cryptic new single 'Risky Behavior' on Corporation Records.
