Operatic macabre electro-pulsing pop jams from the fingers and feet of a vocal powerhouse. Mixing elements of doo wop, hip hop and a touch of 80's new wave; musical artist Black Monroe is a nostalgic pioneer.
We all need a safe space to feel loved & accepted. Talk2Strangers creates that space with deep rooted gospel, pop, & hip hop influences inviting folx to sing & clap along in order to build a more beloved community
Who Can Sleep formed during the 2016 presidential campaign as a collaboration between singer/songwriters Lex Helgerson and Dean Vivirito. Their lyrical themes vary from social justice to romance and the music is a sort of experimental folk, with a focus on harmonies, guitar, Rhodes piano and beats. Their debut music video “Jean Seberg” won best cinematography at the Moonfaze Feminist Film Festival in 2016.
Coleman Moore is a tornado of diva vibes and punk energy, shouting pop anthems through a distorted millennial lens. His debut full-length Masculinity combines contemporary dance pop with 90s rock radio jams, and his latest EP Jealous of the Rest of Us is a jangly foray into catchy garage rock that trades detached cool for earnest insecurity.
