A city full of transplants, and yet all four members of Niantic are from the Los Angeles area. We grew up right here, in the thick of it, watching people and ideas and flavors of the month come and go. So we transplanted styles. The goal is impossible -- a sonic architecture, a diversity of borrowing, from all periods and approaches to great music. Different approaches to technical mastery -- or sometimes lack thereof. A relentless focus on arranging, musicianship, and performance. Every song tells a story, has words and melodies to get lost in. On stage you won't want to look away. On record hopefully it'll be like anything good you put on -- you'll call your friends in from the other room and say "you've gotta hear this". What does the name mean?? It's an Indian tribe from Connecticut. Ryan found it on a street sign in San Diego and it's a pretty name. You can pronounce it with a hard I if you want to. We're probably concentrating on not sucking and not correcting your language. But if you do find yourself intrigued, bring your friends, come see us live.

Little Galaxies

Venice Beach-based band Little Galaxies are transporting listeners to another universe with their fresh brand of ‘cosmic rock’. The band experiments with inter-dimensional textures in their song “Out in Control,” the first single off their upcoming sophomore LP, recorded and co-produced by Sejo Navajas at the historic 4th Street Recording Studio in Santa Monica (The Beach Boys, No Doubt, Incubus). Their music has caught the attention of several notable music blogs, including Buzzbands LA, Earmilk, OC Weekly, The Bay Bridged, and The Deli Magazine, who awarded them "Emerging Los Angeles Artist of the Year" with a feature in their SXSW print edition. Following the release of their debut album Patterns, Little Galaxies played shows and festivals all over Southern California, toured up the West Coast and to Austin, Texas before going on an extended hiatus in 2015 due to Fournier incurring injuries from a car accident. The band made a triumphant comeback earlier this year with shows at LA’s Townhouse Venice and The Satellite. Little Galaxies’ sound and live show have evolved to a higher dimension and they’re ready for liftoff as they gear up to release “Out in Control” on October 5th.

Raised on TV

Made up of two brothers and rounded out by a best friend from high school, Raised on TV is an alternative rock band that has been hard at work in their hometown of Los Angeles since 2015. Their sound has been described by blogs and concert goers as energetic, driving, and melodic, pulling influences from many 60s and 90s rock bands and putting it all together to make something that is uniquely their own. With an EP and one full length album, several music videos, multiple tours, festivals, and getting the awesome opportunity to open for established acts like Jefferson Starship and Marcy Playground under their belts, they are now in the midst of finishing their second full length, with the majority of the tracking having been completed at Dave Grohl's esteemed 606 Studios. They've released a few singles and music videos from the second album to great acclaim so far, getting featured on some notable Spotify playlists while getting a good deal of press, and they are now gearing up to get back on the road for "The Off the Couch tour of 2019!" to play across America and Canada with one of the early stops being in Dallas, TX, for The Deep Ellum Festival.
