Air Life
Air Life
Taylor Dexter, the 23-year-old drummer for fast-rising L.A. rock bands Hunter Hunted and Body Parts, is in the driver's seat for Air Life, singing and playing guitar. Dexter has been widely praised as one of L.A.'s best young drummers. But in Air Life, Dexter joins forces with Vicky Nguyen (keys), Brad Babinsk (bass)i, and Brijesh Pandya (drums), to bring some soul music to Silver Lake and beyond.

On their debut single "Tell Me Anything," with its water-tight soul-jazz groove and unforgettable chorus, Air Life prove themselves to be gifted students of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, and the song has obvious parallels to contemporaries Hiatus Kaiyote, Toro y Moi and Robert Glasper.

"Tell Me Anything" will be available in April of 2014.
Sanglorians
Sanglorians
A new hard rock ensemble that is at once deft and mighty, Sanglorians are an harmonic exercise in presence; a lucid lyrical dialogue with past and future lives; an hermetic experiment with melodic roots in the dreamtime. Initially manifesting last December here in the City of Angels, Sanglorians is the given name of a new musical family born when songwriter Daniel Brummel made the timely decision to come out of an extended monastic hibernation and bring it all back home. An L.A. indie rock vet whose credentials include a dark solo folk record, a degree in music theory, and the legendary projects Ozma, Spain, Bad Dudes, and Monstro, Mr. Brummel held out on us for more than a decade with this backlog of songs. But it was worth the wait: Sanglorians forthcoming debut album is an unconventional manifesto of love and forgiveness, a deeply personal collection which paints a vivid picture of the individual constellation seeking to tap the collective unconscious, live in synchronicity, and embrace the transpersonal impulse. Sanglorians six-member roster includes bassist Jeremy Keeler (Get Set Go), drummer Matt Mayhall (Miranda Lee Richards, Lenka), violinist Morgan Paros (Robotanists), keyboardist/trumpeter Ihui Wu, and guitarist Jonathan Gomez.
The Silver Lake Chorus
The Silver Lake Chorus
THE SILVER LAKE CHORUS performs choral arrangements of indie music and exudes both the edgy, independent spirit of Silver Lake and the heart of community choral singing.

TLSC’s upcoming album, produced by Aussie crooner Ben Lee, features rare and new tracks written exclusively for the chorus by the likes of Sia, Aimee Mann, The Bird and the Bee, Tegan and Sara, Ben Lee, The New Pornographers, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), John Roderick (The Long Winters), The Flaming Lips, and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver).
