Act As If
Act As If
Peter Verdell started his career as an A&R rep for Drive-Thru Records during the pop-punk revolution of the early-mid 2000’s, an era which saw the label propel bands like Something Corporate and New Found Glory to mainstream success. Verdell decided to leave the label and begin recording his own music, and in May 2010 he released his debut LP There’s a Light under the name Act As If. Songs from There’s a Light were featured on TV shows spanning ABC, CBS, MTV, and IFC, and the album was featured as “New & Noteworthy” by iTunes music & “Fuseworthy” by Fuse TV. Additionally, Apple placed the song "About Saying & Meaning Goodbye" in its OS X Lion demo video.

After the release of There’s a Light, an official band lineup formed, consisting of Peter Verdell [vocals, guitar], Diego de la Rosa [drums], J. David Carrera [guitar], and Sara Lindsay [keys, vocals].

Act As If recently released a new 4-song EP entitled The Iron Is Hot, which has received attention from buzzworthy blogs including Kings of A&R, Kick Kick Snare, and Buzz Bands LA. The song "Oh My My" has been getting airplay on The World Famous KROQ FM from DJ / taste-maker Kat Corbett, and the video for the song was premiered on MTV.com.
Alexandra and the Starlight Band
Alexandra and the Starlight Band
With her latest release, Alexandra & The Starlight Band, Alexandra Starlight has critics buzzing, hailing the gritty & sultry songstress as the new, 21st century Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Alexandra Starlight’s live show matches the intensity of the songs, earning her a reputation as an artist to watch. She has played alongside artists such as Semi-Precious Weapons, Kate Nash, Trixie Whitley, Intronaut, Jhene Aiko, Vanaprasta, Harriet & Black Math Horseman, at notable LA venues such as The Troubadour, Hotel Café & The Satellite. Earlier this year, she performed at SXSW for a showcase curated by the Miles Davis family.
Everyday Animals
Everyday Animals
Everyday Animals is a highly melodic groove-pop band that blends funk rhythms, strange chord progressions, and three part vocal harmonies into unforgettable songs that are unique yet strangely familiar. Based in Los Angeles, their live performances combine solid songwriting with a tasteful amount of improvisation, giving the audience something different at every show. If you enjoy the cathartic release of dancing, singing, laughing, crying and loving all at the same time, then this is the band for you.
Sweetwater and the Satisfaction
Sweetwater and the Satisfaction
Four people from four different walks of life doing their best to make some killer music together. Sweetwater & the Satisfaction are a chick with crazy vocals from Arizona, a very tall handsome mandrummer from Nashville, a funkyhippiebassman from the OC, and a paranoid Jewish mastermind who does everything else from NY. Despite their differences and their whiteness, they come together and make some soulful freakin' music. There are moments of rock, moments of pop, & moments of the blues…but each moment is really good.
