Earlimart's "System Preferences” is a lush and lovely soundtrack for a sad, beautiful world. It's an album that touches on disillusionment with and acceptance of technology, complex relationships, and lost weekends. The Los Angeles-based duo of Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray retain tones and textures familiar to fans of the band's six previous albums of whispering and stomping indie rock. But they’ve grown as songwriters and producers. From familiar sonic waters they embark on a journey that allows them to get lost -- with the novel excitement that entails. “System Preferences” is their sonic dead reckoning resulting in a joyous return to the band’s Californian port of call.

“System Preferences" sounds like Earlimart without sounding like any other Earlimart album. It will be released on the band's own label, The Ship, on Sept. 18 digitally and Oct. 16 for vinyl and CD.

Since their prior release "Hymn and Her" in 2008, Earlimart has collaborated with members of Grandaddy for the 2010 release of Admiral Radley's "I Heart California," which was followed by headlining tours of the U.S. and Japan, as well as a support tour with pals Band Of Horses. Espinoza and Murray have also kept busy in the Ship studio, composing for film and other various TV projects. Meanwhile, Espinoza has continued to work on his studio tan, producing records for artists Ben Gibbard, The Henry Clay People, Port O’Brien and others.

Blake Hazard is from Burlington, VT. Her real name is Eleanor Blake Hazard, although she prefers her middle name and uses it as her first. She attended the Putney School in southern Vermont, south of her hometown. She is also a graduate of Harvard University and is the great-granddaughter of American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Blake released a solo album of her own titled "Little Airplane" (2002) just two years previous to her breakup with John on California's election night in 2004. "Little Airplane" was recorded by John in his studio and was released on Boston-based independent record label Kimchee Records. The album can still be obtained on Kimchee's website or through The Submarines web store.
Blonde Summer
Blonde Summer
Eleganza is the debut EP from Blonde Summer. Chris Pope slipped away from Los Angeles and found inspiration in 60's surf rock and the desert rat locals of Joshua Tree while crafting Blonde Summers collection of drifter-esque indie rock songs, along with guitarist Matt Reid. Blonde Summer teamed up with Aaron Espinoza (Earlimart,Admiral Radley) at The Ship studio, and created "indie rock bliss" -Hmag
