Lone Kodiak
Lone Kodiak
Lone Kodiak (FKA Hurry Death) is an indie rock band based in Echo Park, Los Angeles. Consisting of members Dainéal Parker (vocals, guitars, keys), Daniel Alden (bass), and Andrew Smith (drums), their music is often compared to that of Explosions in the Sky and Sigur Ros.
STAL
STAL
Born and raised in the south of France, Pierre-Marie Maulini was a musician from a young age. With his older brother and a couple of friends he played in the band A Red Season Shade and released a debut album in 2006 on swiss label Gentlemen Records. A post-rock effort influenced by Sigur Ros and Explosions in the Sky which led him to meet local shoegaze icon Anthony Gonzalez. It didn’t take them long to become friends and Gonzalez soon asked him to come and play guitars and synths as part of M83 for the tour following the release of their fifth album Saturdays = Youth. The band spent almost 2 years travelling around the world, opening for bands such as Kings Of Leon in the UK or Midnight Juggernauts in Australia, and of course headlining sold out shows all over America!

Back home and enthralled by this experience, Pierre-Marie decided it was time for him to lead his own project. He started recording bedroom demos, then moved to Ireland for a while where renowned sound engineer Patrick Walsh helped him develop his keyboard and synthesizer knowledge and skills. The first demos started spreading in 2011, they defined STAL’s sound as epic with a strong rock energy and a pinch of french touch. On stage, STAL takes the shape of loud power trio with the help of Jeff Di Rienzo and Renaud Rodier on guitar and drums respectively.

After releasing an EP, We Are Two, and debut album, Young Hearts, STAL began preparing for another trip around the world -- this time, it was a leap of faith into a totally new life in Los Angeles in early 2017. They’d barely settled in when they caught the attention of producer Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Mute Math, Night Riots), bonded over a shared love of emo, and were in his studio crafting a set of songs that refine and elevate the STAL sound while boldly leaping into new territory. The first single “Fresh Blood” will be released October 27th and the EP set for early 2018.
Cuesta Loeb
NYC native, Christina Cuesta Loeb (who dropped the "Christina" for her debut solo project) comes from a family of musicians. Born to world-renown jazz guitarist Chuck Loeb and Spanish singer-songwriter/actress Carmen Cuesta, she grew up between the US and Spain, studying classical flute and bassoon. While she really enjoyed performing and playing in orchestras, Cuesta Loeb was unable to find her voice in classical music. In 2015, she moved to Los Angeles and began experimenting in her own songwriting and production.

Inspired by Green Day, The Smashing Pumpkins, Fiona Apple, and (early) Sheryl Crow, she combined her love of dark, haunting melodies with dreamy, etherial instrumentation and vocals. She found her home somewhere in the world of Dream Pop, with a blend of everything from acoustic ukuleles to Shoegaze-heavy guitars. From this, she self-produced and recorded her first 4 track EP, Dive, to be independently released in September of 2016.
