Kate Berlant
Kate Berlant
Based in Brooklyn, Kate Berlant performs across the country in festivals such as the New York Comedy Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Outside Lands, LA's Riot Festival, and the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival. Kate was recently profiled by The New York Times as a "magnetic improvisational comic" at the forefront of experimental comedy. In 2012 she was named by Time Out New York as one of New York City's "Top Three Comics to Watch" and as one of Comedy Central's "Comics to Watch." Reggie Watts named her as one of his "Top Ten Stand-Up Comedians" in Time Out London, and Splitsider listed her as one of the "Top Ten Up and Coming Comedians on the East Coast." Kate has been commissioned by The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles to work on their online channel and was one of the faces of IFC's web series "Comedy Drop." She recently finished touring the country with musician Father John Misty. When she's not on the road, Kate runs a weekly show at the Cake Shop in New York City on Tuesday nights.
Adam Newman
Adam Newman
Adam Newman is a New Hampshire-born, Georgia-schooled, ex-Brooklyn-based, now LA-based comedian who has performed stand-up on the Late Show with David Letterman, John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, Gotham Comedy Live, Comedy Central's The Half Hour, and most recently a one hour special called Fuzzies on Seeso. He's also appeared on MTV's The CollegeHumor Show, HBO's Last Week Tonight and Silicon Valley, the Tyra Banks Show (weird!), Animal Planet's We Love Puppies, Comics Unleashed, and is a regular contestant on Comedy Central's @midnight. Adam was among Comedy Central's first class of "Comics to Watch" to perform at the 2011 New York Comedy Festival, and was invited to the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal as a "New Face" in 2013, and again (and again!) in 2014 and 2016 to perform on HBO Canada's Funny as Hell. Adam has released two critically acclaimed stand-up albums, Not for Horses (2011) and Killed (2015) through Rooftop Comedy Productions. Look for Adam in 2017 on TruTV's Full Court Pranks and Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here!
Brent Weinbach
Brent Weinbach
Brent Weinbach's stand-up comedy is weird. He does a lot of characters, he's physical, and his humor is absurd. Here are some other words to describe Weinbach: deadpan, silly, obscure, unconventional, smart, stupid, post-modern, grass roots, Berlin, 1980's, tennis, bike riding, Virgo, Rygar, etc. The list goes on and on. Brent began his comedy career in the underground San Francisco scene, but now tours all over the United States at clubs, colleges, festivals, theaters, music venues, living rooms, tennis, bike riding, Virgo, etc. He also has a t-shirt with his name and his face on it.
