Terraplane Sun

Hailing from Venice Beach, California, 5-piece blues rock outfit, Terraplane Sun, has honed a swampy soulful feel reminiscent of the 1960s “California Sound," with a groove that leaves you no choice but to move. Comprised of Ben Rothbard (vocals, harmonica and guitar), Johnny Zambetti (lead guitar and mandolin), Cecil Campanaro (bass), Lyle Riddle (drums) and Gabe Feenberg (piano, accordion and trombone), Terraplane Sun has performed on sold-out bills supporting such acts as The Alabama Shakes, Youngblodd Hawke and Imagine Dragons, along with several residences via C3 presents at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. After releasing its 2011 critically acclaimed debut album, Coyote, the band just completed a new 6-song EP, produced by Dave Trumfio (Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Ok Go) and mixed by Richard Furch (Prince, Fountains of Wayne, Outkast). Said EP includes "Get Me Golden," currently featured in Citibank's national television ad campaign, feature films, 21 Jump Street, and What To Expect When You're Expecting and hit television series, Teen Wolf and Franklin and Bash. Their recording of "Funnel Of Love," off of their Coyote album was just recently featured in the blockbuster film Playing For Keeps as well. It is the bands live show however that legitimizes them as one of L.A.'s top up and comers, as was evident during their recent residency at the legendary Satellite. As the Los Angeles Times puts it, "The Venice psych-blues rocker put on one of the most intense live shows in the city's local scene." As they've done with L.A., T.S. pounded the West Coast relentlessly during 2012 to an overwhelming response, just recently selling out shows in San Francisco and headlining The Belly Up Tavern in San Diego, as well as hitting just about every town between Seattle and Mexico "Friends EP" Out Now!
Yellow Alex

Yellow Alex & The Feelings fuse Motown bass lines, psychedelic guitars, and ambient texture to create strange new flavors of classic soul and new age pop. Choreographed live performances take cues from 60's R&B, while yellow spins and coos a pop falsetto. Emotionally charged. Visually arresting. Short enough to fit on a 45.
The son of a Jamaican father and Polish mother, Yellow Alex's influences ar...e eclectic and disparate: the Jimi Hendrix experience, John Frusciante, Brian Eno, Curtis Mayfield, Prince, Gyorgy Ligeti, Nile Rodgers, Madonna, and et cetera.
A native Angelino, Yellow Alex returned to LA in 2007 after leaving Trick & the Heartstrings, a NY punk-funk trio. He developed a new style, which led to the formation of a septet, The Feelings. Longtime friend Daniel Brummel (formerly of Ozma) joined first on bass, and within a few months, included Sergio Flores (Symphonic Circles), Kim Haden (Light FM), Leonard Nimms (Ballerina Black), Brandon Scott (you may recognize him from "Grey's Anatomy" and Toyota commercials) and BRIT (aka "B/HIVE", event promoter for LA art events). Yellow Alex also spends time working as a producer and co-writer for several acts based in LA.
