Lonely Trees was formed in Silverlake, CA in 2010, by longtime friends and musical collaborators Christian Stone (formerly of Campfire Girls, Analee Fery (formerly of Monsters are Waiting) and multi-instrumentalist Gueorgui Linev. Christian Stone's primal guitar spasms and lyrical sensibility deriving from sly, considered observation are seduced by Analee's playful and carefully crafted vocal catwalk. While her voice has an alluringly sweet surface, it betrays battle scars of disillusionment. George Linev's off-kilter keyboards and carefully crafted, angular guitar lines illuminate the space available for atmospherics and sonic experimentation. With a penchant for genre-hopping and studio experimentation, the dream pop dance group began to shape what would become their debut EP, which was then self released in the summer of 2011 as a limited edition sampler. Following a string of local shows and positive feedback, the band decided to round out the line up with the addition of bassist Gianni Garofalo and drummer Chris Lopez. This change in form sparked a serious transformative effect on the band's sound: electronic experimentation, elaborate studio arrangements and stately stage presence gradually gave way to a more organic rock catharsis, dancefloor drive and increasingly uninhibited performances. Lonely Trees is currently busy putting the finishing touches on it's debut full-length record which is expected to see a release sometime in early 2013.
